I first bought these to mend my husband's light work trousers. Where he works there is no air conditioning in the summer, and of course he can't find pants like his. We chose to patch from within, although you can actually go either way. So far they've held up well. They weren't too hard to irritate his skin. He didn't seem to notice them when he was wearing them. This particular set comes with multiple color options that are very nice to have on hand. Simplicity for those of us who don't sew. (i) Just note their size when ordering. They're not the widest. They are suitable for small sections or long sections with more consistent ripping or tearing. I hope to find more of these in the future. But they can be cut and ironed into a smaller area that's just starting to fray slightly. I will definitely buy them again. Very economical and I love that he can still store his favorite pants without spending a day (or three) searching the internet.
