Suitable for DeX and screen mirroring with Samsung Galaxy S10+

Purchased to use with a recently purchased Samsung Galaxy S10+. The main reason was to be able to show movies on TV while traveling. I've only tried a little bit so far, but it seems to be working as advertised. I connected the power and HDMI and put in an SD card with a couple of movies before connecting the adapter to the phone. The phone suggested switching to DeX mode, so I tried that first. It worked. I won't judge DeX myself here, but the adapter worked with the phone and brought a full desktop to the TV. After switching the phone to screen mirroring mode, I was able to stream Netflix on the TV while still controlling it. from the phone. Then use VLC to view the files that were on the connected SD card, which showed up with no issues. I was able to play the movie from the MKV file without any problems. The only port I haven't tried on the adapter is the USB-A port. If it works as well as everything else, then either a USB stick (for files) or a mouse (to control DeX) should work. My only complaint about the adapter is that different ports are open on it. Having HDMI and power connectors on opposite sides of the adapter will result in cable clutter when everything is plugged together. It would be cleaner if the HDMI port came out the back (where the USB-A port is) or if the HDMI and power ports were on one side and the SD/MicroSD card reader on the other. This avoids running cables through the adapter when everything is laid out. Update August 22, 2019: I have to deduct a star due to an issue I encountered recently. The hub seems to be a little sensitive to the power adapter used or the connected video device. On a recent trip, I plugged my phone into the hotel TV to watch a movie I had saved on my phone. When I plugged in the power adapter (RAVPower Quick Charger), no video came out over HDMI. When the power was turned off, the video worked fine. Luckily I had enough charge in my phone to watch the movie. When I tested at home, the same setup (and power supply) worked fine.

Cons
