Review on Halo Sensitive Stomach Seafood Medley Dry Cat Food by Jessica Romero

Bugs in the food, and Halo doesn't care. Halo is garbage.

I wrote this email to Halo Customer Service: I have been buying Halo dry cat food for years and switched to wet food this month. I mix water with food to see what's in it. Today I found what looked like an insect's belly in her food. It may be harmless, but I'm still disgusted by it - it's definitely not listed in the ingredients! I've attached photos of the bug in the food and also pulled the jar out of the bin just in case it might help. Is this common on Halo? As you know, their food doesn't come cheap - it's $1.99 a can at the pet store. Given your reputation as a supplier of the highest quality cat food, I don't think it's at all appropriate to appear in your canned food. I believe your processing plants should further investigate whether there are problems with insect feeding. My cats are very important to me and I want them to have the very best, so I buy a halo - after this incident it seems to me that the halo just isn't of the highest quality. I want this problem to be solved. And guess what the answer was? "Sorry, but we really don't care!" This stuff is pure garbage. They have no quality control and they let foreign junk and critters get into their food and they don't care if you call them! This is really disrespectful to pet owners who pay a lot of money for this food compared to other brands. I would avoid it or switch to Stella and Chewy's or even make my own cat food.
