I use two of these to install HOTAS on a chair and they work great. Tension adjustment allows you to fix some joints and leave others flexible. I have the front connection loose enough that I can move the controllers back and side to side when not in use. I used about 10 pounds of velcro to attach the hots to the TV mount. They're a bit heavy and pull on the armrests of the chair, so I used some small zip ties to secure the armrests so they don't move. I'm sure they would be great for a TV, but for my very different use, they work really well too.
