. Eventually it got to the point where I replaced the lightbulb but it didn't blink to the direction. At this point I checked the socket and found that I too had an issue where the socket was failing. I ordered this replacement as the price was the same as other sites and since I have Prime I didn't have to pay for shipping. Installation was easy, unplug the old one, plug in the new one, add a lightbulb, turn on the direction and it works fine. I've had no problems with the new outlet and if the other one fails I'll happily order another. .
