My first impression when opening the case and inserting the drive into the bay was that the slots are too wide, causing the drive to dangle a bit. But after filling the case with all my offline drives and trying to close the lid, I saw that you really have to push a little. It definitely squeezes the discs in place, but I'm wondering how much protection there is on top when the foam in the cap is compressed. I'd like to see thinner slots and a slightly taller chassis to allow for deeper slots. That will do. I bought this for a possible move when I plan to take many of the more delicate and important items with me. Meanwhile, the suitcase will lie on the shelf, there is nothing on it. I put paper thin stickers on it in case someone picks it up in the confusion that always seems to happen when moving. Overall, given some of the other hard drive storage options I've seen, this is a decent case for the price.
