This shelf is AMAZING. This is my kitty's favorite place to hang out, without exception. She's rough with it; runs, jumps, hangs on him and rides on him - she also bites him and scratches his back in the sun. However, if you prepare the suction cups as instructed, this shelf will NOT detach from the bracket. I love how durable it is and the curved design not only looks good but also prevents our clumsy kitty from falling while she's sleeping or playing on it. It became her de facto bed, except when it was too cold for her to lie right next to the window. She can look outside and use her hunter brains without being put in danger - perfect for curious, fearful cats! My partner and I always admire the various details of this shelf - its strength, the curved design, the size, the material the designers chose for the finish - and how each detail shows what the designers are really observing. To understand and adapt to the behavior and preferences of cats with their different designs. Even the soft, untreated wood is ideal for cats to bite and dig their claws without damaging or destroying it. If your cat enjoys climbing and looking down at people from its perch, then this windowsill is for you. not those flimsy hammock models. Thank you for this great shelf!
