Review on 🎍 Bamboo Kitchen Drawer Organizer with Expandable Silverware and Utensil Holder - 8 Compartments and Dividers by Ryan Hawkins

When I first opened this I was blown away. This is a great organizer for storing cutlery and knives. Everything in my 12-piece serving is fine, including the measuring spoons and my knives. Side compartments slide out easily. At first glance, a flawless work of art. Then I noticed 2 cracks - one on each side of the inner expandable part. This affected cracks because it is impossible to know if they are deep or will propagate. They were both long, at least half the length of the organizer on each side. On the one hand, no repair attempt was made. On the other hand, however, a VERY poor "repair" was done - a mostly white, paste-like substance (similar to drywall patching material) was accidentally poured into the crack, only filling in some areas on it. Worse, large blobs of white material were all over the "repair" page. For me, returning an item in perfect condition is not worth it and a waste of time. So I called the company and asked how they fix cracks in their bamboo. They said they would use "wood spatula" but I decided to just fill the cracks with strong glue, hoping they wouldn't get any bigger. Also, I used my wood stain markers (which I thank god I have a whole set of, one of which matches the organizer's finish) to paint over all the white crap after a failed attempt to peel it off. I've read online that bamboo is prone to cracking, but sending it to me with such a lousy repair is sad considering how carefully the product was made in the first place. Overall I love it though. It's beautiful and functional and I will definitely buy it again.
