I am an elderly woman with foot problems and I have two pairs of these slippers. They are very comfortable but I was disappointed that I only lived in them for a couple of years before the soles started to come off in the same way. They also have nothing but arch support. If you have dogs, then the soles of this model attract dog hair like a magnet and I clean them constantly. Another pair of Haflingers in a slightly different style was given as a gift. The label said it was made in Ukraine, not Austria. I wonder where they were made. I've since bought a pair of Giessweins with rubber soles. They are about 1.5 times more expensive than Haflingers, but far superior to them. They have a rubber sole and a removable arch support. And as far as I know, Giesswein still makes its slippers in Austria. I just bought a second pair of Gissweine and will never go back to Haflingers.
