Let me start by saying that the earbuds feel good and work as expected. Personally, they would suit me. Although I find them useful for my father, they present some difficulties. The most notable comfort issue is that the ears are labeled R and L for right and left, but the slight angle they are set at actually makes them uncomfortable when not worn on the head. from opposite sides. The battery easily lasted over 12 hours at a moderately low volume with the radio or mp3 on, not Bluetooth. The charging time depends on whether it is connected to an outlet (slower - a couple of hours) or to a computer (faster - 1 hour). The manufacturer's specifications provide for 5VDC with a minimum current of 400mA+. The instructions are provided in 8 different languages and are all presented on double sided paper. So the edition is very small! These headphones were bought as a gift for my father who was in the hospital for months battling brain cancer. He struggles with memory, even for what he used to know well. So I looked for something simple that he couldn't screw up. Hearing concrete things calms him down. But when he tries to use his phone to stream, he ends up complicating things because he doesn't remember what he's doing or how to do it. The advantage is that they can be used for radio reception independently of Bluetooth and also have a micro SD slot for mp3. The power button on the headphones is only used to control the Bluetooth connection and has nothing to do with turning on the radio or mp3. In that regard, for my particular application, I find the design to be a bit lacking, because of course when Dad wants to turn it on, his first thought is to use the button labeled POWER. However, to turn on/off the radio or mp3, you need to press and hold the multifunctional volume/adjustment knob for about 5 seconds. If no micro SD card is inserted, the radio will simply turn on and off. The multifunctional volume/adjustment knob switches to the next mp3 or next radio station by briefly turning it in one direction or the other. The volume is adjusted by turning the rotary control and holding it in this position for a few seconds. When the card is inserted, the MODE button is pressed to switch between radio or MP3. Neither of these control schemes are particularly problematic for the average person, it's just that there is a slight difficulty in my particular application. Another aspect is that the volume/tuner knob is black, like the headphones, while the rest of the knobs are silver. My dad's eyesight is also an issue at the moment and if the volume/tuner knob was silver too that would be an advantage as he doesn't seem to be able to just use the sense of touch to figure it out and has to resort to from ears and sight on the controls. Overall I like this product and I personally like it. However, for my application to my dad, I think a basic mp3 player and headphones are probably the best option. **** Updated: 12 months ago - The internal battery has run out of charge and is rapidly discharging
