I put this in the bathroom so I don't have to use a bright light at night - I have very sensitive eyes. The soft yellow color does not irritate the eyes (unlike other bright blue tones) and at the same time illuminates the room very well. I like the automatic photosensitive component. There's no handy switch, we just leave it on and it turns on when it gets dark. Highly recommended as a night light in the kitchen, hallway, garage or bathroom! You can actually see what you're doing if sight is required for your task - great for those who wear contact lenses or find a screw-on toothpaste cap. Unlike some other bulbs on the market, this one works great in high humidity environments and humidity doesn't seem to affect the product in any way. Salt rock nightlights aren't great in that department - in fact, I got them to replace a salt rock nightlight that the steam shower couldn't handle. Great night light.
