I originally ordered two of these stools, one arrived quickly, the second within a few weeks. That should have been my hint that there would be a problem. The chairs were both black, sort of. The "faux leather" on the first stool was shiny compared to the faux leather; the second had a matte finish, so the two stools didn't quite match. During the first three months the edge where the front and back meet started to peel off, I can't tell if it's glue or if the edge was melted down to keep it from wearing out. Yes, it doesn't matter because after six months the faux leather began to tear at the seam where the front panel was sewn to the back panel. I noticed that I'm not the only customer with this problem. I love the design of these chairs, but their quality is synonymous with the word "STOOL". Appropriate, isn't it? For the price they should have lasted much longer. Based on what others have said I figured I'd spend my time fixing them. My previous set of bar stools lasted 12 years, now I wish I had kept them and upholstered them.
