Once I started using the popsocket I can't remember how I held my phone without it. I found I dropped my phone a lot less often. The adhesive lasts forever as long as you place the PopSocket on an elegant phone case. I've never had a single drop, but the packaging mentions it doesn't stick properly to a textured case. Make sure you clean your case before sticking it on. I used a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol and then let it dry before applying the glue. This design is great and doesn't wear out quickly, unlike the aluminum top models which can have paint peeling.
