However, if you do whatever is necessary to ensure they are properly lubricated, these rings are top notch; Each ring should be lubricated on all threads with dry silicone grease (not mineral oil as it will pick up dirt and dust) on all threads when you first receive them by carefully and patiently unscrewing each ring and using a Q-tip on each set. flows. When screwing them together, you MUST turn the ring "counter-clockwise" until you feel the ring "go" into the mating threads. Then carefully continue to turn the ring fully clockwise, but don't tighten it like you would a nut on a car wheel, just "push" it tight. These are well made rings and I had no cross threads from the factory. They work great!
