I expected them to draw like colored pencils but in the bathroom. They really don't. They cannot be wetted and varnished. You need to shake off the water and then pull. Hopefully your surface isn't wet because that will also cause it not to write. I also don't like little bits that fall off at the stain. It gets into the bathroom and then onto the skin. We painted the tub itself and the tiled walls surrounding the tub. If you don't clean it well enough, it can leave a faint trace of what you painted. Also, my white grout isn't as bright white as it used to be. I think I'll end up needing to come with bleach and a cleaning brush once a month.
