I purchased this item a few months ago in preparation for my upcoming move. Yesterday I was ready for action and followed all the instructions exactly. I've seen several reviews where the bag doesn't hold air for long periods of time and unfortunately that's exactly what I'm seeing here! The mattress didn't shrink as promised, but it was enough to roll it up and fasten the straps, albeit just barely. I was fine with this as I have space in a moving truck and don't need it to be 100% flat. Unfortunately I've heard in the last 24 hours that the plastic bag is beginning to deflate and in some places the mattress is clearly going back to its normal size! the straps are really the only thing that holds the mattress and who knows how long they won't give in to the pressure. Not the best solution as I move long distances so this bag should last at least a couple of weeks. while my belongings are transported over rough terrain. I'll try to pump out more air before it hits a moving truck, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you really need this product to perform as intended.
