Cleans easily and works great hands-free. I can do other things and move it around every few seconds and let it run some more. For the first time in my life (almost 60) the BACK of my teeth is brushed properly. It's very hard to hit behind and between the teeth, and it hits the back at the same time as the front. Anyway, I've been using professional mouthwash (Ultra Stuff by Crest - $$) as toothpaste for years as it gets between my teeth as a liquid, but not paste. I found it worked better. Using this will solve the thick paste in this brush problem as others have posted. The small fan dries well where others don't. When you use mouthwash with this toothbrush, you lather like a rabid dog, my mouth cleans like those toilet bubbles!
