Bought to wrap a manzanite twig instead of a Christmas tree. The length was perfect, the gold wire disappears on the wooden branch, the light is the right brightness at level 8 where it stays on all the time. The little controller lets you turn the device on and off without unplugging it, and you can just press "8" to jump to a permanent setting without having to look through them all. The other takes are fun once or twice, but they all start out slow and then accelerate to a frenetic pace before starting all over again. As with the glow function, it starts with a slow glow that increases, then decreases, then the time lightens and darkens, accelerating to a nightmare-inducing fit, and then returning to a slow glow again. All options seem to follow this pattern except always on. If they just stayed constant, like flickering at a constant rate, they'd be funny. But stabilization is exactly what we wanted. The "tree" looks great, has many possibilities for hanging small decorations and we think it's just perfect!
