I used to have several different steam irons. They've had issues ranging from the need to add water after almost every garment, to leaks and not very good wrinkle removal. I was a little skeptical about the "off-brand" name and "chrome" styling, but I just love it! A few notes: the instructions have been translated into English and can be a bit confusing. but makes sense if you read carefully (and actually important... like a slight smoky smell on first use and a rattling noise on first use or when lack of water is normal). Yes, it folds up for travel, but not tiny compact (I would still travel with it personally). The cord is fairly short so you can use an extension cord to steam furniture. What I love about this steamer is that the large water tank is easy to fill and attach, and the steamer doesn't get "cheered" when it's installed. It heats up quickly and I can wash a few things without running out of water. It gets the job done really and quickly (see before and after photos) and it's not just a burst of steam, it's a nice, steady flow of water. Steam without drips (unless it's overfilled). I also love how I can use it like a regular iron and easily switch between two different types. For example, I have a few items that curl at the edges and are difficult to steam without burning my fingers... I simply "iron" the edges with steam on the ironing mat next to me and then continue steaming while hanging. No problem and works great! I tried an extra snorkel mount and a small water bottle instead of a regular tank (it seems to fit most standard water bottle openings). It worked well with no drips and surprisingly it was stable when I put it on too. I had no problems with that. I purposely don't buy a lot of things that need ironing, but this makes it simple and easy to bring back to life on the plane. I know from experience this is a great way to freshen up uniforms. and save on the frequency and expense of dry cleaning. We'll see how it stands the test of time, but so far so good. Definitely recommend and planning to buy for my stylist niece.
