For starters I have a waxing license and I usually do face waxing with soft wax. It's important to know what you're doing, I think, but these days you can find it all on YouTube. Anyway, I've been paying someone to do my Brasil for years. She was amazing - expensive - but worth it. Where she's worked they use hard wax, which I've personally never used, but it makes a lot of sense and is definitely less painful. My wax lady went broke and I tried a few others but I've never been happier and still wasted a lot of money. So I figured I might as well try making my own Brazilian. 3 of these wax cans cost less than half a service so I have to lose. My key takeaway: I understand why other brands use dark. This material is usually skin-colored, which causes problems. 1. You can't tell exactly where the wax starts and ends in an area that can only be seen with a mirror, and 2. It's hard to tell how thick it is. These are BIG problems because it results in parts being left behind, which is 100% a worst case scenario and has led to probably the darkest moments of my life. Next time wax a darker color. To be honest Gigi, that would be a very easy fix and you should already know why other brands aren't skin colored. Overall I'm smooth and haven't lost any body parts. For legs etc. it was ok, you can see better what you are doing. However, a darker wax would be preferable.
