Review on Energizer Changing Remote Control Controlled 44578 by David Thomley

I was very excited when I first used this product and it worked great from the start. Below is a list of what I like and don't like and I hope it helps you decide WHAT I like 1) Good brightness 2) Decent color change 3) Can be placed anywhere as it is battery operated. I put them on my kitchen and linen closets so the light is projected onto the top walls and ceiling (looks great) 4) ONE remote control can control ALL the lights at the same time WHAT I DON'T WANT 1) Each light takes 6 AA batteries2 ) Since I placed the light in hard-to-reach places (kitchen countertop and linen closets) I set them to RF setting, which is an option for lighting. I suspect this is the setting most people would like to use for these lights anyway. This way you don't have to manually go to each light to turn it on manually every time. In the RF settings you can easily switch on/off or change the color or dim with the remote control. BUT this is where the problem comes in. My guess is that the HF setting will drain the batteries pretty badly in a week. That's why I bought batteries. BUT now I have to climb up the dressing tables and change 6 batteries in each of the lamps (6 bulbs in total, changing 36 batteries every week). this is very inconvenient and annoying. 3) If the batteries are not fully charged, the RF setting and the remote control will not work very well. The product is well made and works right out of the box. However, their functionality is inconvenient, since you have to change batteries too often. Instead, call an electrician to install permanent lighting on the cabinets. Hope that helps.
