It does run a little small, I am a 27 waist so I got a small thinking I would just wear it with the ribbon as far as it would go, because I like that look as opposed to cinched closed in the back, but there's only room for one maybe two inches of space before the back flap that keeps color in the back is no longer covering under the ribbon. Luckily I have amazon prime so I have time to buy a bigger size and return.
