Disclaimer: These are the only cloth napkins I've tried so maybe my expectations weren't realistic. Unlike many others, the tag doesn't bother me and doesn't bother me at all. However, I do NOT find them surprisingly soft - quite the opposite. I line dry them outside like many others who go the cloth diaper route and they're pretty rough afterward. Instead, I tumble dried them, which I'd rather not do. I wash them with Charlie's Soap and after 5 months of use (I have 30) they are discolored (looks like they have rust spots) and some are worn. I ordered two batches: Interestingly, one batch says "Made in USA". and the other says "Made in PRC" (assume China). Chinese are significantly thicker and softer than American. Maybe it has something to do with my experience compared to others. I also find them a bit small and usually use 2 for each diaper change (the first I spray with a cleaning solution and wipe off, the second I use to dry completely with water. The water seeps through so there's no way will dry immediately).
