This is a great idea and looked lovely when first installed. However, it is so thick that you need 1" screws instead of the standard 3/4" screws to attach the plate to the machine, making installation difficult. If you only use 2 screws the bottom will detach from the car and the panel so you need 4 screws. Worst of all, the wire goes through the gel-like transparent rubber and is VERY BADLY soldered to the board. After my first drive to work the light stopped working and upon inspection the + and - wires were separated at the solder joint in the transparent rubber. I had to take it off the machine, resolder it, reinforce the solder with a boot, put heat shrink tubing over the wire, glue it to the rubber pad with some slack for strain relief. don't fall apart again. Seriously, for the price, a strong connection at the solder joint or some sort of strain relief would be better.
