Great design and easy to use. A low setting works, but smoothing requires a slower pass. You can use a slightly faster pass for an overall clean look. The heat works a little faster and gives the hair a very sleek look. The comb part has enough grip and keeps the heat away from your skin. My elders weren't that good. This size is also much better. It is easier to use on the beard and if you just brush it like you would with a regular brush you will get a nice straight long beard. Small enough to use on a mustache too. Overall very satisfied with the product after a few months of use. The case is not heat resistant, so be careful when heating up and cooling down. It would be nice to have a heat resistant pad like mine. If you place a weighted object on the handle while heating/cooling, it will keep its head above the counter to avoid burning.
