I bought this to get active again with my AC split grade 3 that happened 4 months ago. My shoulder is still unstable and while waiting for the surgery I am going insane from not being able to do what is part of my lifestyle. I've only used the bandage for soccer and it has stabilized things very well when running. Yes, a bit warm, I played on artificial grass on a 90 degree day (which gets hot!) and wore a tight shirt underneath to keep my hand from chafing. It was warmer than just wearing a jersey, but it was manageable and allowed me to play a full match. Don't buy this thinking it will make your injured shoulder look like new, you still have to be careful but it certainly helps lift and stabilize the joint.
