I was so excited when I received this case I couldn't wait to install and use it. The keyboard proved very comfortable as I broke my wrist and couldn't use my iPad the way I wanted, but at least with this case I was still able to use it. The Bluetooth connection to the iPad is flawless, the full-color backlit keyboard is also very nice and quite intuitive to use, the body is solid and feels like it's easy to beat. Good things to say about this case and believe me I waited 3 weeks to actually do this review because I really wish it was better. The first red flag should have been how difficult it was to get my iPad into the damn case. I have an 11 inch 2nd gen iPad Pro and when I tried to fit it into this case I felt like I was going to break either the iPad or the case in half. When I received it and started playing with it I was happy (see above). But then I tried to install the apps and it was difficult to double-click the lock button to authorize since the case is close to the button (Photo 2). I declined because I don't care: I can learn to live. I started watching Disney+ while my husband was watching HBO Max and Mando's volume was too low to hear on Sex and the City. When I found out that the volume up button was also too close to the body (photo 1) I again dismissed this as something I could live with. It was the end of the night and my iPad needed to be charged, so I went to bed and plugged it in with the Apple charging cable. The next day came and I had to go to work. I've spent the day ordering ammo, planning gunfights and other military stuff, yay, all with thoughts of coming home to work on my book and play with my iPad. This is not a happy story, this is a tragedy. After I got home and removed my uniform, I turned off my iPad, grabbed my notes and went downstairs to write a book, one of my 7 book series. not load at all. I had 20% left just like last night when I plugged it in. So I grabbed another cable and tried it out. The case didn't allow the charging cable to sit properly. I figured it's ok, I'll just take off the iPad case and charge it before I start. If I thought it would be difficult to put my iPad in a case, no amount of stroking, pleading, cursing, grinding my teeth and shaking my fists could get this iPad out of the case. My broken wrist may have played a part, but I still can't get my iPad off. My cast will be removed in 6 days then I'll let you know how it goes. Since I couldn't wait 3 weeks to take the cast off, I had to go to the workshop and get my angle cutters. While this case is plastic and doesn't feel like it could take a lot of beating, it certainly withstood the onslaught of my angle cutters well, but my dominant arm is in cast so it probably doesn't help. I finally managed to cut the case just enough to put the charging cable in there, but I still have to push the charging cable firmly into the port to make sure it's fully seated and charging. I like to keep my devices turned off because the incessant beeping and flashing is beyond annoying, but in this case I need to keep the sound on so I can hear when the charger is installed so I can be sure it's actually charging . Well, after some pretty important flaws. In this case there is one last point that bothers. The hinge works as intended, and again I'm in cast, so maybe that matters, but it actually took the power of Hercules, prayers to your savior, the joy of a child, the chuckle of a dolphin, and the blessing of Odin. Pry off the lid so you can use it. But once open, it rotates easily and stays in place, and closing is just as tedious as opening. In short (tl;dr), don't buy this, get something else. If I hadn't ruined the case and if I could believe I could remove my iPad without damaging it or the case (next), I would be returning this item. It was a waste of money, time and effort.
