Review on Adjustable Cat Tree House by TRIXIE Pet Products, Santander Edition by Michelle Frey

It is with disappointment and frustration that I have to report that the Santander TRIXIE Pet Products Santander Adjustable Cat House is not safe. I ordered this because of the height of the shelves but was disappointed with a few things: • As mentioned in most reviews, the top is NOT stable - this is a very weak point in the design. It wobbles and bends and does not attach to the ceiling as intended. (A pressed cardboard disk covered in funny fur slides across the quilt and it's impossible to get a good print with the screw system. • The plush fabric covering the shelves is soft, but lacks a handle or grip. It is essentially a soft, slippery soft fur stuffed animal., and my kitty can't get his claws on it (dangerous when climbing, especially descending) • Shelves aren't long enough to securely hold the structure one shelf to the next Alternating shelves leaving only a few inches of landing area, and even that fabric is slippery.• Shelf height is too high for my 8 lb cat to jump safely given the insecurity of the assembled knot and short platforms. A taller cat would have fewer height issues, but a bigger cat would probably tip this thing over fixed and if the fabric was changed and if the shelves were changed and about 3cm longer . However, unfortunately I cannot allow my pet to use this product due to fears for their safety.
