Review on ๐Ÿ•น๏ธ Odyssey: Assassin's Creed by Agata Skrzypek แ Œ

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

Not advantages, but not disadvantages: The game simply changed the genre, the filling. However, this does not make this game worse than the previous classic games. The plot is by no means the best or ingenious. He just is. In some places he takes for the soul, in some places he gets bored. There is humor, interesting characters, there are generally ridiculous moments. Honestly, the game for "replacing Desmond" was not at all interesting, an uninteresting character. You won't be able to instantly hit an enemy by shooting them in the head with a bow, or by sneaking up behind them with a sneak attack if they're higher level than you or you don't have enough damage. Unrealistic, yes, breaks immersion. But these are just some game conventions. The Ancient Greek setting was perfect for this new style in the game series. However, in practice, the developers did not try, and we got an anime slasher 3 out of 5, plus a point for the beauty of the game world and the charismatic main character.

Pros
  • To love Odyssey, you'd better forget about previous Assassin games. Think of it as a completely separate game from Ubisoft. An RPG with a fairly large open world awaits you. The design is excellent, there's nothing to say. "Compressed" to scale, like famous cities in GTA, Greece, exactly repeating the map. There is even an island from Arma 3, although it is much smaller. As for weapons and clothing, everything is subjective, whoever likes what, then put on the character. I advise you to take with DLS, because Atlantis is extremely beautiful Combat has become completely different, except perhaps for stealth. The game now looks more like a slasher than a realistic fencing of medieval assassins. I got these changes. Again, forget that this is good old Assassin Crete, and try to play a couple of hours as a demigod (according to the story, it is) with superpowers.
Cons
  • The facial animations and character gestures are the worst thing in the game. It practically ruined most of all the dialogue in the game. Why do cutscenes become ridiculous, which resemble a game in a school/kindergarten theater club. 90% of quests kill your desire to play this game. "Go get it" or "Clear it from enemies" and so on and so forth. Some unfamiliar grandmother in the village asks the demigod, and even the grandson / granddaughter of the king of Sparta Leonidas, to collect some flowers, because she is too lazy to go. This is what side quests look like. Of course, it is not necessary to complete them, besides, there are other more interesting secondary quests, but there are too many such "give-bring" ones. If you play on a hard difficulty level, you will have to be a "water carrier" to get exp, to level up, to defeat difficult opponents, to complete a difficult story mission.
