Review on Lenovo ThinkVision M14 Anti Glare Monitor, 1920X1080 Screen by Josh Kadari

Extremely light and thin; it's good and bad

I work virtually, mostly from home, but sometimes on the go. My desk at home has two 21-inch monitors connected via a USB-C dock. I connect a second monitor to my laptop when I travel. I bought a Lenovo M14 to replace an AOC monitor (USB 3.0) that refused to work with either one of my Dell Latuudes or my new ThinkPad. Setup is easy; My laptop is constantly recognizing what monitor configuration it's seeing - I know it's primarily a laptop, but judging by AOC's behavior I believe the Lenovo monitor partially does this. So it works great and looks great. The "light and thin" part is good for packing light luggage. Not very comfortable to survive on the road - it seems extremely fragile. It moves around the table with the slightest push or pull on the attached cable. On the second use, the case cracked when attaching the Kensington lock due to a slight bend in the cable. I lock my gear when I'm working on the go - I usually sit in a café or restaurant for hours; Kensington lock required. I don't bother returning it - the case will pop out of the lock again. I'm going to reinforce it with metal from the hardware store and JB Weld. If the electronics and connections can stand up to life on the road, then I'm going to love this thing. But better for 2-3 years. We will see.
