The only wall in our bathroom that will fit a towel rail has a door with a pocket, and the traditional horizontal towel rail doesn't mount to the wall as securely on one side as on the other hand other . He stepped away from the side where the door slid past him. This vertical mounting post allowed us to mount both sides on a single stud holding it securely. My only negative criticism is that it would be better if the levers were longer. That's a bit short for a regular towel folded in half, and a few inches shorter, at least for a bath sheet folded in half. I'm still very happy with it, which is why I'm giving it five stars.
