Review on Rollplay MAX 12V Electric ATV 4 Wheeler With Oversized Wheels, Rubber Tire Strips For Traction, Working Headlights And 3 MPH Top Speed - Red/Black by Chris Estes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

PERFECT quad for toddlers.

My 2 year old has loved motorcycles and quads since he could walk. We bought him one of those $40, 6v Walmart quads and he mastered steering and the pedal very quickly. I also purchased the Rosso Motors quads (both the old version and the new), but found that quad to be WAY to crazy to handle for my toddler (Rosso Motors' new quad is great for a 5 year old and up, but unfortunately they did away with the speed controls). If your kid can already steer, then this is a great beginning quad!PROS:- SLOW TO FAST SPEED. The slow acceleration is GREAT. When the pedal is pushed, the rear tires will spin slowly and gradually speed up to 5mph. When your child lets off the pedal, this "rev-up" starts over again. Kid's won't peel out and knock themselves off the quad.- SIZE. It's big, lifted and wide. Even running over small bumps and dirt little hills, I was never worried he was going to knock it over.- TIRES. They are that plastic that doesn't break, but there's a rubber tread in the middle of them that gives them GRIP! This quad can actually get over small things without the tires just spinning or getting stuck. If you're looking for a powerful quad with a lot of torque, then buy the Rosso for quadruple this price because that one goes 8 mph with real tires and has good power to get up hills (beware though, we've already popped two tires on just dirt). If your child is young, under 4, and has basic motor skills so they can learn to steer, then I HIGHLY recommend this quad. It is more than just a toy that can only run on flat ground. He got it super muddy too and I hosed the tires off and practically soaked the whole underside and dried it off--the battery is protected under the seat, so it was as good as new. My child is just over 2 years old in that photo and it fits him perfectly.

Pros
  • RUBBER TIRE STRIPS – For added traction and realistic feel, this toddler ATV can ride on hard surfaces and grass
Cons
  • Consumes a lot of electricity
