The key fob that came with my used 2006 Chevy Cobalt suddenly stopped working. None of the buttons worked. The first thing I did was call my local Chevy dealer. They wanted $90 to replace the key fob and another $55 to program it. I refused to pay such a sum, went online and found that buying a new keychain online is much cheaper. This was the cheapest factory GM OEM key fob I found on Amazon. The keychain arrived in the mail much earlier than expected! I ended up taking it to a locksmith near me to have it programmed into my car. I called them and made an appointment the same day and they were able to program a new fob and also reprogram my old fob so I now have 2 working fobs for the same price the dealer only wanted to program 1. My only reason for the keychain I gave it 4 and not 5 stars even though it works great. The plastic seems cheaper and doesn't hold up as well as the original. But overall it's a well working product that's cheaper than having it replaced at the dealer. Thanks very much!
