I bought this for my 5 year old. I like Instaprint and Kodak cameras but they are so expensive and film is so expensive. I was uncomfortable and couldn't afford to give this to my 5 year old without it breaking. This camera uses thermal printing. It comes with lots of paper/rolls and is SUPER easy to use even for a kid. It also takes some serious beating as my kid has dropped it multiple times and it works great. The images are black and white and actually come out pretty well (when the subject isn't moving). It has a screen on the back and shows an image. You can also make small filters like those used in a photo booth. Although the pictures aren't the best quality (the paper is obviously not the best quality) it was great for a 5 year old. She took TAAAAAA lots of photos and printed them out. And they were all sealed with duct tape. For the price and convenience this is a great camera for a 5 year old and you don't have to worry about overspending on all the photos they take. It was also great for family gatherings because she could walk up to someone and take their picture and it would be printed right away. I recommend this entry-level camera for 4-8 year olds and it's definitely worth it.
