Just got the radio in the mail. I'm listening to an FM station that none of my other radios can pick up. I am impressed. The radio is thin but solid. Others complain about battery drain. I use rechargeable NiMH batteries, so no problem. It consumes batteries when not in use as the clock is always on. All in all a very good radio. Short waves work great too. UPDATE: NiMH batteries don't have enough charge to work with. Switched to lithium. Holds up well. However, this thing eats batteries. Others have complained that the case is made of cheap plastic. Made from the same ABS plastic that the helmets are made of. Sensitivity is actually good until you plug in headphones/earphones. The whip antenna has been replaced with a headphone cable. Loss of most sensations. TO UPDATE:. LITHIUM fits this radio. A week later I'm still using my first set of AA lithium cells with 1.6 volts remaining. Use 2 hours a day. UPDATE 2: The same lithium cells are still going strong weeks later. Lithium is suitable for this radio.
