First of all, this is a very nice keyboard that goes beautifully with my two silver Macs and the wired Apple keyboard on my main computer. I spent a few bucks more to get this keyboard. But the top isn't aluminum. It's aluminum plastic. The base is made of aluminum, which gives it good rigidity. (I wish the companies were more honest in their descriptions and didn't try to deceive us.) Still, it's a good keyboard. The keys have a little more travel than an Apple keyboard, but they feel comfortable and are easy to type on. One small complaint, I could really do without the LED on the keyboard that only lights up because it's plugged in. I am very impressed with this keyboard and can only recommend it!
