Worth every penny so far

I will update this review regularly. This review is for the 17" Fat Wrist Pad in Smooth Leather, Black. So far it's worth every penny. I've owned it for about 2 weeks. I have carpal tunnel in my left wrist. This has greatly reduced the pain around the scaphoid. and the medial part of my forearm. I haven't tried cleaning it yet, but that's because it hasn't gotten dirty yet. But a word of warning, if it gets warm where you're using it, I recommend , put a paper towel or tissue on it. so that sweat does not accumulate on it. It is not completely waterproof, the water stays on it, giving you some time to wipe it off, but some of the water penetrates the surface, very well with WASD configuration. This will ease most of the effort of getting your fingers there. The extra width allows me to type very comfortably when I'm not playing. The pad is much longer than traditional keyboard hand joint pads, and that only works as a bonus: the more your forearm rests on the pad, the less strain on your wrists. ts. The cushion thickness is excellent. It's "perfectly thick" without sacrificing much cushioning. This may be because the top of the pad has a different finish than the center of the pad. As a result, the middle material provides a firm hold and the surface provides the "right" cushioning. I'm a light person so if I find it's enough cushioning then definitely if you're heavier you will. I also play for a long time, I didn't notice much wear on the rubber. It doesn't sag in any places that would affect functionality, the only real area it affects is the angle facing me, but that's only after a long period of use. The angle does sag a bit due to the angle I hold my forearms at, but that doesn't affect the functionality of the pillow at all, and other than that, it's a bit deformed as my forearms are. If you stop using it for a while, it will go back to normal. Edit: 3 years later and the same shim still works! There's a slight curve at the wide end where my wrists tend down at times, but other than that it looks and feels great! I don't even have to think about getting another one because this one still works so well!
