This cord is just what I was looking for. I make a lot of necklaces for friends and family. I've tried real and faux leather cord, other braided cord, and cotton cord. The problems I had with other types of cord were that they are too thick but break easily with a tug and don't melt. I melt the ends of the cord to keep it from fraying and I also melt the ends of the slip knots to keep them from unraveling. I cannot physically break this cord with my hands. It's just the right gauge for my use, the strongest line I've used for that gauge, and it melts just the way I want it to. Ideal! I will order more.
