Review on Edward Tools Oak Claw Hammer: Durable and Precise for Exceptional Woodworking Performance by Aaron Bannister

You can get a good hammer

In fairly typical fashion I was asked to review something I didn't have but it was about a small business, how to get started and the importance of reviews. Well, I was hoping to get something that someone really cares about and looks at critically when putting it together. I have a hammer to find disappointment. The wedge was inserted from the side and mostly into the head of the hammer itself. There is so much damage to the wood around the wedge that I'm not sure if the hammer was handled properly, or maybe they have a machine for that? Anyway, he was clearly abused by the fact that he never wobbled and was already wobbly. Two large stickers were placed on the wooden handle, leaving the handle covered in glue. The handle is also varnished, I should have guessed, but didn't see any indication of it in the description. Finally, the handle has a grain flaw on the head, which over time will cause the head to come off and fly into someone or something nearby. Part of me thinks I'm too picky to be so critical of such a cheap instrument. , but on the other hand, these are mistakes that, in my opinion, a hammer company should not overlook. If I wanted 10 hammers for a project and figured they would probably never come back to me, I would buy more. In the case of my hammer I'll just rebuild it (properly and without hesitation) and hope the head itself isn't too bad the more I think about it. I'm worried. TL:DR this hammer is a good cheap throw away hammer if you need that. If you want something of value, it takes more time and money, and that's only possible if you have more tool knowledge than Edward and his brother at Edward Tools.
