With its pros. The ability of this camera to get excellent quality and detail pictures to a greater extent eliminates the shortcomings of the camera. I definitely like the high resolution of the matrix, good DD and the presence of two slots for memory cards of different standards. In general, I do not consider it necessary to talk about the merits, everyone already knows about them. It’s better to tell in detail about the troubles noticed over a couple of years of operation (purely IMHO). Cons: - heavy and large, especially in a pair with zooms, if it falls on the head, it can cause a serious head injury =) spreading out the legs of a tripod with the D810 fastened becomes a real challenge; - the metal case burns hands in the cold even through gloves; - compared to the D7100 and D500, it drains the batteries much faster, especially when working in LV; - at the moment of focusing on Live View, the camera does not open the aperture. Therefore, if you are shooting in a studio at f11 with a dim modeling light, you can forget about focusing on faces, it lacks light. The way out is either to open the diaphragm or increase the power of the pilots. I consider this to be a very significant shortcoming! - there is no way to calibrate phase AF for zooms at the short and long ends. - it is impossible to set lever L to block all buttons and knobs. Very often, when shooting reportage, you hit the knobs and shoot a dozen or two frames with the wrong settings; - narrowish zone of phase AF, after D500 sadness-sadness; - despite the fact that this is one of the best AF cameras in the Nikon line, it still does not tolerate any competition from the Sony FF BZK, especially when shooting portraits (there is no focusing on the eyes, focusing on the face works mediocrely); - settings banks have idiotic work logic. Any change is automatically saved to the bank that is selected as the current one, and not all settings are saved, shooting sequence, AF settings are not saved. What is the meaning of such presets - I personally do not understand, I tried to work with them many times, but I could not get used to it. Very often you wind up something in a previously configured preset, forgetting to switch to another preset - and that's it, you lose the old one; - due to the large size of the viewfinder and the fingers freely reaching it, greasy prints always remain on it; - no swivel screen; - classical limitation of video length without automatic restart of recording in case of reaching the limit;
