Just got this package across Europe and North Africa. We got caught in a heavy downpour in the Alps. 1) You will read about problems with zippers. It's a heavy metal zipper on supple skin. Go slow and you'll be fine. That's high quality. There are no problems here. 2) You will read about lining issues. The lining is high quality and sewn into the product made of soft leather and a heavy duty metal zipper. Close the package carefully and it's good. There are no problems here. 3) The bag kept all my stuff dry during a heavy downpour in the Alps. That has been said. The side bottle holders kept the water out and very little got in. A product from a hard-to-reach place for water. I poured out the cup plus water from the holders and it all dried up quickly (and the result was basically condensation in the bag). The only slight confusion was that the bottom of the bag wasn't covered as well as the rest of the bag. It could also be due to intrusion of the bottle cage. But it wasn't light rain or a moderate storm. It was a torrent and if that was the worst, I can't find any problems. 4) You will read about a bag that couldn't hold much. I don't know what others wore but I couldn't strain my back and cause weight issues and I carried heavy tech gear with me all the time [thanks for point #3] 5) You'll read about the shoulder strap slipping from tightening to the right size. The straps are designed so that the strap goes through a metal ring to prevent slippage after adjustment. No problem. To be clear, I used the bag daily, from a month before the trip, throughout the trip and hours at a time, and also constantly during the trip. It did not buy it two days ago, here is my opinion rating. As I ask questions for me the details of how it was used. The purchase is worthwhile.
