For grandson's school

My grandson is in fifth grade and will be carrying a 12 inch laptop to school this year. This backpack has a padded compartment that keeps his computer safe and prevents it from coming in contact with his books etc. I saw other backpacks with all sorts of slots and pockets for pens and pencils, but I knew my grandson wouldn't put everything in pockets, so those little things didn't affect my purchase. A nice feature to use is the backpack's ability to expand an additional two inches by unzipping the sides of the backpack. This is especially helpful because school hasn't started yet and we don't know what to pack in our backpacks. I suspect he'll be taking his phone to school, so we'll have to see if he needs a charging station to use the built-in USB port. We also bought locks for the drawers that need to be locked at school to keep the computer safe.

Pros
  • Certificate
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors
