This blue helmet goes perfectly with my son's new blue Strider bike! 🚲 I wasn't sure what size to go for, but I'm glad I went up based on other user reviews. For size reference, he is 23 months old, weighs 29 pounds, wears mostly 3T clothing, and has a huge 99th percentile head. 🧠 It was very easy to set up and suits him perfectly, with room to grow but not TOO MUCH. It could be another year or so. It looks comfortable and stylish. The blue is bright and so shiny! He's not a big fan of it yet, so we're training to wear it at home. I'm planning on getting a bike and a helmet hoping they look *cool*. It's fairly light, but not the lightest helmet. It's actually a lot chunkier than I imagined and reminds me of the classic helmets my dad made me wear as a kid. Many of my friends have bought "skateboard" helmets for their kids; Lower profile helmet, flatter and slimmer. My son is quite a big nerd so I wanted him to have a good brand name that I trust and as many security and anti-mutant features as possible. There are many fancy character helmets out there (dinosaurs, spikes, shark fins.), but a helmet is safest when it doesn't have any additional add-ons. I am very happy that I chose Joovy!
