These were purchased after noticing some grain when watching movies and sporting events after replacing my old 1080PTV with a 4K TV. I am currently using 100% streaming and am using a stereo receiver to send the video signal to the TV. After replacing the cables, the granularity disappeared. So if you have a new TV with old HDMI cables, you'll never get the resolution you pay for unless you swap cables between your streaming box (Fire TV, Apple TV, stereo receiver, etc.) and the TV off.
