I've been using this seat for about 1.5 years with my 2 year old and just bought another one for my 3 month old because I love him. simplifies the secure fit. There are two buttons on the underside of the seat that you press together to raise the seat and thread the belt. It has a clasp but as Britax recommends attaching a strap I have never used or attempted to use a clasp. Thread the belt, fasten the buckle, eliminate any slack, and then push the seatback until it clicks into place. For a snug fit, I found I had to eliminate enough slack in the harness that I had to kneel on the seat to get it back into place. In this case, the seat does not move at all. In terms of comfort, my son never feels uncomfortable and it seems like he has a lot of padding. My 13lb 3 month old uses an infant insert and the padding is quite thick. The coasters are excellent. I have yet to find a standard 12 ounce baby water bottle that doesn't fit. They can be easily removed for washing. I recently removed all of the seat fabric for washing. It washes and dries beautifully following the directions and I didn't even need a YouTube video to replace the fabric that came first. This is not a narrow or light seat. If you have to transfer frequently, this may not be the place for you. While it's easy to remove and reinstall, it's quite heavy and awkward to move. I could fit 3 of these on my bench seat expedition, but in a smaller car like my outback, 2 could definitely fit in the side seats, but it would definitely be difficult for an adult to fit in between. However, the seat is like a tank and this was an important consideration when buying a second one for my child. The seat is very easy to adjust as my son has grown. The straps are easily adjustable by lifting the headrest. The tension of the straps is easily adjusted by pulling the straps at the foot end of the seat and loosened by pressing the button under the latch and pulling the straps. I should add that my son is very tall for his age and has plenty of rear leg room. than backwards.
