When I was a kid, my mom used coils (I called them flying saucers) to curl my hair. So I was very happy to see them again and that they switched from rubber to silicone which is much better. The only improvement I would recommend is that they have a ridge in the middle to catch the hair at the beginning of the curl. It's smooth on them, which makes it a little difficult. I have fine texture but thick hair and was able to use it dry without product. And after a few hours I had curls that combed full and elastic. Haven't slept on them yet - I think the mesh is to keep them in place while I sleep.
