My cats love to scratch and always will. I have lost many pieces of furniture that have become her scratching posts but after some recent purchases of expensive furniture I really wish the scratching would stop. That is amazing. You can barely see it when you put it on and cats HATE it. Your paws will immediately cling to it. I only removed part and it was pretty easy. I tried using it on a real leather couch and quickly realized it would ruin it so I only used it on fabric. Cats don't care much about skin anyway. I put a cardboard scratching post next to the things they like to scratch, which I think helps in the situation.
