Review on πŸ”† Enhance Visibility and Style with HIGH FLYING Led Side Mirror Lights for Toyota Tacoma, RAV4, and Highlander by Keith Morris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Two mods in one! in Headlights and Accessories

My truck didn't have mirrors with turn signals. It also has no extra wires to power signal lights in the wiring harness. So I found these aftermarket mirrors with OEM style turn signals (from elsewhere, sorry Revain). Then I bought these running lights. That should have happened. First I connected each turn signal wire in the front grille area (left and right), I routed each wire through the hole in the fender and into the rubber boot door. From there to the mirror cap assembly. Returning to the workbench, I removed the factory headlight and installed a new sequential one. Since this is all aftermarket the connectors will likely not match, no need to cut and splice them. There is enough wire to install the appropriate connectors, but butt connections will work as well. Then you need to remove the old mirrors from the truck. There are tons of cute girly videos on YouTube that will show you how. Enjoy and come back when you're ready. Then I installed the mirrors to the body. Once dressed, it's time to make all those connections. Since the new connector has 7 wires and the old connector has 5, you need to make these two connections. The two wires that feed the turn signal (signal and ground) must be cut off at the new connector. Then connect the signal (orange in my case) to the red wire I routed to the front of the truck earlier. Ground can be connected to any ground wire (I used a different ground wire in the harness). Fix everything and you're done! The new headlights work much better and are brighter. I also noticed that they can be seen from the driver's seat where the old one had a blind spot, which would be a great reminder should you suddenly forget. All in all a great upgrade!
