I received this cable to replace a 15ft high speed passive HDMI cable that was showing all the classic HDMI cable edge signal symptoms: flickering/stalling, signal loss, handshake issues etc., especially when transferring 4:4:4 chroma (as opposed to lower quality 4:2:0 chroma) from my receiver to my 4k TV. I chose this active cable because of the smaller cable diameter while maintaining the same distance I needed to run the cable through a pipe in the wall. That part went well. I can also confirm that the Audio Return Channel (ARC) function works well, returning audio from my TV to my AVR and sending a pure 4:4:4 HDR10/Dolby Vision 4k chrominance signal from my AVR to my TV . I gave this cable a 'break-in period' of 2 weeks by simply hanging it on the back of the TV to ensure it was up to the task before I had trouble getting it through the inlet. - wall channel. So far I haven't seen a single signal issue in 3 weeks whereas with my old HDMI cable I would flicker/lose signal at least once a day. I recommend this cable for longer runs (10+ feet) when a smaller diameter cable is preferred.
