We seem to have had a major problem with other coasters, which either stuck to the bottom of the coffee cups or were too small for the cups to sit well. THESE STANDS ARE PERFECT! Mugs are big, don't stick, can be washed in the dishwasher. We have the light ones because I tend to mess around while sipping my coffee and are easy to spot when walking away with a mug in hand. Textured on the bottom to prevent slipping and there are places on the top where condensation or liquid from wet-bottomed cups can collect. Not all silicone coasters are created equal. I definitely recommend them. They also make perfect gifts, packaged in an attractive box and fitted with a holder to fold the coasters away when not in use.
